Crossroads Rescue Mission / Facility Renovations

In April of this year we received a letter from Crossroads Rescue Mission of Shelby, NC. This letter had been submitted by Duane Williams who manages development and acquisitions for the mission.

Duane writes:
“Each year we help hundreds of men overcome their substance and alcohol abuse issues. These individuals seek our help from all around North Carolina, as well as the United States. We have been serving our community in this capacity for over eleven years. The cost of maintaining the men in our care strains our resources. The overwhelming requests for help that we receive motivated our decision to renovate and upgrade our facilities as a need, not a desired basis.”

We know this ministry is a labor of love for Crossroads Rescue Mission and for thousands of other missions serving in their communities.

Duane continues his letter with:
"Any help is greatly needed, and necessary to renovate these facilities. Our resources are not sufficient enough for us to handle this expense. The response to the needs of this project has been great and encouraging."

The Sakrete Team was happy to assist with donations for Crossroads as were many other local companies. 70 bags of Sakrete Type S Mortar / Stucco mix was donated for exterior projects as well as enough tile setting material that consisted of tile setting mortar and tile grout, donated by our sister company ProSpec, to cover a 2,700 square foot area.

We wish Crossroads Rescue Missions continued success with their renovations, and thank them for their strong commitment to community service.
