Engineered for laying brick or soft stone in above-ground applications, Sakrete’s pro-grade Type N Mortar Mix delivers extended workability and high performance for your masonry projects.
Its forgiving nature and smooth finish make Sakrete Type N mortar mix ideal for decorative masonry, veneer applications and repointing projects. It’s also well-suited for interior block work and areas where structural loads are minimal.
For jobs needing a higher strength or below-grade performance mortar mix, Type S Mortar is the better fit.

- Can be used for scratch & brown stucco coats
- Use for applications from 1/4" to 1/2"
- Mortar yield (80 lb bag): Lay 12x standard 8" block; Lay 35 standard bricks; Set 10 ft2 of cultured stone
- Stucco yield (80 lb bag): Covers 70 ft2 at 1/8" thick
